Annual General Meeting of ACTO was held

The annual General Meeting of Association of Clinical Trials Organizations was held via video conference on December 14, 2021.

Executive Director Svetlana Zavidova reported on the work of the Association in 2021. The representatives of ACTO member companies voted to approve the report on the activities of the Association, supported the proposal to leave unchanged the size and procedure for paying membership fees, re-elected Svetlana Zavidova as ACTO executive director and approved the current composition of the Board of the Association:

• Leonid Dzivinsky (PRA),
• Maria Nassonova (Almedis),
• Peter Kosminsky (Janssen),
• Olga Melnik (Novartis),
• Anna Filimonova (Parexel),
• Marina Filippova (PSI)
• Svetlana Zavidova (Executive Director) – by virtue of her position.

By vote it was decided to accept COREX as a new member of the Association.

In addition to organizational issues, the teleconference participants listened to a report on the formation of a legal framework for the functioning of the common EAEU drug market and on obtaining clinical trial approval in the EAEU countries. Other issues of relevance to the field of clinical trials were also discussed.
