Association Members General Meeting was held.

Results of salaries monitoring of clinical trial experts, such as clinical research associates, assistants and project managers were discussed. Unlike in the previous year, current monitoring included the data on the Ukraine and the Republic of Belarus in addition to the data on Russia. Based on the results of the discussion it was decided to conduct another monitoring at the end of the present year.

The discussion of pediatric trials specific characteristics was the second issue of the meeting. As is known, a considerable increase in clinical trials with the participation of children population is presently observed worldwide. It is expected that in the nearest future this tendency will affect Russia as well.

A presentation concerning legal features of informed consent receipt in conducting pediatric trials in the Russian Federation was made to the participants of the meeting. After the discussion it was decided to develop a position of the Association on this issue which, in the conditions of insufficient legislation, could help to form a uniform practice of companies' activity.
