General Meeting of Association of Clinical Trials Organizations (ACTO) was held

Meeting participants discussed the current practice and problems of patient insurance in clinical trials. It was decided to set the preparation of conversion to the liability insurance as the main object of ACTO in this.

The second issue of the meeting was to consider the affiliation of a new member to Association.

Decision of the meeting is to affiliate "Arterium" as a member of ACTO.

They also discussed the problems of contracts in the field of clinical research, including the variety of practices in different companies and legal aspects of contracts with investigators and medical organizations.

Separate issue of discussion was the practical difficulties that resulted in the current system of accreditation.
